Re-Designers

Anyone is allowed to be commissioned to create re-designs or MYO designs for others, given that the character/slot already exists on the masterlist. They must still follow design rules, and we cannot be responsible for any charges or edit fees that may come up in commissioning someone to work on a design on your behalf.

Terms of Service

rules for designers

Terms of Service

This is a Terms of Service (ToS) for "Official Designer", "Certified Re-Designers", and "Guest Artist" for "World of Orrison" (WoO). WoO is an intellectual property of Juni Kim and Cory McGowan. Designers are individuals who are able to, within the limits of the ToS, create or distribute character designs/adoptables for World of Orrison.

There is one set of rules for official designers, and one set of rules for guest designers.

Official Designer Terms

The following outlines terms in regards to fees enacted on new adopt sales. These terms also outline the number of adopts allowed to be sold in a time period. Creating more adopts than outlined in these terms, failing to pay, or giving out designs for free without permission will be cause for strikes.

Sale Fee

Official designers agree to give 10% of their earnings (rounded up to the nearest cent) for adopt sales to Juni and Cory. If the 10% is less than $10 however, the designer can keep 100% of their earnings. Total earnings is defined by: The amount of money earned, sans payment processing fees.

These funds will be sent to Juni and Cory via paypal (crowcouncilart@gmail.com). Designers have 3 days after the completion of sale to send the required money.

These fees do not apply to redesign commissions or MYO commissions. As an official designer, you are free to take advantage of "certified designer" use rights (to be commissioned to design MYO's and redesign designs for other people). You retain 100% of your income from these commissions, and you can do as many of these as you would like.

Sales In Regards to Termination

Failure to pay fees on deadline counts as a single strike towards termination. A second deadline will be established after the first is expired. If the designer owes money upon termination, debts are cleared but the designer will be permanently blacklisted from WoO.

Number of Sales

You may not give away designs/adopts for free unless sanctioned by Juni and Cory or by a group hosted event.

These are the limits on sales per individual. The annual cap overrides the monthly cap:

ANNUAL LIMIT - 12 auctions, 24 flatsales
MONTHLY LIMIT - 3 auctions, 6 flatsales

These amounts are likely to change in the future. If changed, Juni and Cory will contact you to notify an update to the designer ToS. These limits can be overrided if designs are queued into Juni and Cory's schedule for uploading designs.

These limits DO NOT apply to "Guest Artist Events". These are events hosted specifically by Juni and Cory to showcase a variety of designers. The same goes for group events involving raffles, DTA's, or other giveaways. These limits do not apply to redesign commissions or MYO commissions.

Termination

The following outlines termination clauses in regards to creating new adopts in the World of Orrison. Juni Kim and Cory McGowan reserve the right to terminate your designer privileges at any time, for any reason, but most likely we will follow the terms and procedures mentioned here.

One Warning Policy

We will only give one warning or "strike" for lapses of abiding by the Terms of Service outlined in this form. On the second offense, your privileges are revoked for all species of WoO. You may not re-apply to design as an official designer for WoO, or approach Juni or Cory to request a re-issue of privileges, unless Juni or Cory approach you first.

If you wish to retain "Certified Designer" privileges, you must re-apply to design as a certified designer.

No Complaint Policy

By accepting these terms, you agree that you will not publicly slander WoO, Juni, or Cory, nor will you complain about the outcome if your privileges are revoked due to a lapse in abiding by the terms. This includes "sub text" (not mentioning WoO by name, but WoO being obviously the source of the complaint) as well as any social media outlet that is public, not private.

Failing to adhere to the No Complaint Policy will result in blacklisting from WoO and forfeiture of any currently owned WoO affiliated intellectual property, including designs.

Design Guidelines

Mistakes in anatomy or lore must be fixed before sale. Refusal to satisfactorily fix these errors after a single request will count towards a strike in our Warning Policy (see Termination). Ignoring or forgetting a request counts as "refusal".

As a designer, it is your responsibility to be sure you are designing to fit within the standards of the World of Orrison, and that you upkeep the aesthetic of the world. Imagination is encouraged, but a complete disregard for the setting will not be tolerated. Ignorance is not an excuse-- Please ask questions, if you are unsure!

Guest Designer Terms

The following outlines terms in regards to fees enacted on new adopt sales. These terms also outline the number of adopts allowed to be sold in a time period. Creating more adopts than outlined in these terms, failing to pay, or giving out designs for free without permission will be cause for strikes.

Sale Fee

Guest artists agree to give 15% of their earnings (rounded up to the nearest cent) for adopt sales to Juni and Cory. If the 15% is less than $10 however, the designer can keep 100% of their earnings. Total earnings is defined by: The amount of money earned, sans payment processing fees.

These funds will be sent to Juni and Cory via paypal (crowcouncilart@gmail.com). Designers have 3 days after the completion of sale to send the required money.

Sales In Regards to Termination

Failure to pay fees on deadline counts as a single strike towards termination, where you will lose the ability to become a designer of any sort for WoO. A second deadline will be established after the first is expired. If the designer owes money upon termination, debts are cleared but the designer will be permanently blacklisted from WoO.

Number of Sales

You may not give away designs/adopts for free unless sanctioned by Juni and Cory or by a group hosted event.

Requesting more sales may decrease your chance of being accepted for the month. Once permission is granted, you have 30 days to complete all of your design(s).

If you would like to perform as a guest artist again, you will have to reapply to this form.
