The 4th face of Mylic is a month for study-- and it a favorite month of naturalists.
Normally, those who find the most interest flora or fauna and present it to the Archivist for her records may be given a boon... This year, she has a special request.
Apr 5 - Apr 18
The Archivist moves. She believes there is a possible link between Immitheus and her lost Archives in Lireah, and asks others to help...
Apr 19 - Apr 31
After uncovering the secrets of Immitheus, teleportation to Lireah has been found-- along with its current inhabitants...
Lireah was the original home of the Archivist. It is the home to her original archives, a spiralling conch structure of a library built into the mountainside, and a testament to her dedication to the preservation of history. Lireah was so important that she feared any who had control of it might have too much power-- so with the help of her archivists, she detached the entire city from the earth and floated it into the sky. The Archivist has no idea where it exists now-- its drifting course is controlled by those who live on it, and she believes it unlikely there are any leyr who survived the storms left in her city. Her best hope is that the library's seal remains in place to keep her treasure of knowledge safe inside.
The Archivist holds the belief that wherever the library exists, it might still be accessible through the old teleportation network that used to connect all of the major cities of Orrison. Ichorrai's is broken now, its outgoing pad destroyed when refugees fled to the moon-- only its incoming pad is in tact. These structures used to be vital pieces of infrastructure-- but while all the cities were connected, they were also divided by politics, power, and war. Many of these systems were not left unguarded or out in the open, and she knows Immitheus' is somewhere in its deep belly.
Now that the threat of war has ebbed, the Archivist herself has left Ichorrai for Immitheus to oversee the plumbing of the old city's depths. This year, her boon will be granted to those who provide the greatest assistance.
In the discord server's #event-signups channel, you can make a daily research attempt with one character on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays. In performing this action, you roll a 1d20 (one twenty sided die) to measure your success. Before making your roll, you state which character you are using and their intended action. While you can leave it vague, for example, the default "searching Immitheus for a teleport pad", specifying your actions may positively or negatively affect your chances of success depending on its difficulty, your character's specialty, and other flavortext.
Please use the following form to make an attempt:
Character Name: Name
Masterlist Entry: (put the link in carrots to turn off preview)
Action: Searching Immitheus! Or other flavortext.
Then, you can make a roll with the following command:
A moderator will reply with your results. Some rolls in combination with interesting actions may merit Esse, Items, or other rewards.

In the inner workings of Immitheus, through delights and dangers of the maze that exists of the city's infrastructure, explorers finally found the teleportation portal. Passage was secured!
It was a wonder to learn that Lireah still sailed in the sky-- and even more of a wonder, still, to learn who piloted it. They are descendants of Rhotian rrex who won a gamble with Viis-- unable to escape to the moon and dying of poisoning, several crews of sky pirates proposed a race to the flying city of Lireah against Viis. Rather than race itself, Viis chose a champion-- it promised the one team of rrex that whether or not they won the race, they would live... but if they did win, they would become true gods and all the other Rhotians would die.
That team of rrex chose to throw the race, allowing the species as a whole to survive. Viis took them and reformed them so that they would survive in the new world-- it saw that their bones remembered Kheir, remembered her smallness, and remembered her resilience. It reverted them to their old forms-- and as a gift for their wonderful racing, gave them back Kheir's lost wings.
