The murk element is the most unrefined element, and is identified by its energy excess. Murk can often amplify the effects of other magics, or overpower others by sheer force. Murk is the opposite of clear.

Species: Daemon

These daemons charge Esse twice as fast. Their forms are unstable, either wispy or fragmented in a glitchy way. They are very malleable, but still tangible.

Daemons can pick any common daemon fysa to start, but must use daemon breath to learn additional ones.

Non-daemons may learn this when their bond with their partner runs deep. A non-daemon must use either a Fysa or Aria I to learn this magic, plus a Daemon Eye.

Condense - Miasma (Common)

Category: Murk Fysa

Miasma is a part of the Condense Aspect of the Murk Fysa. All tolka start with this fysa.

This is an active fysa. A user can exhale a fine mist of fysa to change the levels of magic and humidity in the atmosphere. This is commonly used to affect the weather to provide ideal conditions for agriculture, and any mist can re-invigorate even dying plants. Fauna or people who inhale the miasma may feel nauseated, but it's not normally enough to affect them negatively otherwise. Miasma can cause magitech to jump start or short circuit.

Two or more users (OR a user and a daemon) can create rain, even indoors.

This mist is different from a mist expelled by Immanu-- immanu mist has specialized effects, while a tolka's miasma works more naturally.

Condense - Treacle (Uncommon)

Treacle is a part of the Condense Aspect of the Murk Fysa.

This is an active fysa. Users can produce and regurgitate a thick slime composed of condensed fysa from their gut. In small quantities, it can be used to create a powerful medicine or hallucinogenic. But exposed to more than that causes a discoloration of skin and an acid-burning sensation where it touches. Without immediate treatment, the victim will succumb to fysic poisoning. Tolka are immune to both their own treacle and that of other tolka.

Condense - Bezoar (Rare)

Category: Murk Fysa

Bezoar is a part of the Condense: Aspect of the Murk Fysa.

This is a passive fysa. Users can produce stable fysa crystals in their bodies which can be used for energy for magitech or for medicine. Planted in the earth, these crystals provide powerful energy for surrounding flora. Sometimes crystals grow in place of scales or even bones, but bezoars are regurgitated every so often. Poachers have famously hunted tolka to cut them open for more crystals.

Although bezoars are normally stable, a tolka can 'charge' it before expelling it, causing it to explode after a set amount of time. This can be anywhere between a few seconds to a few decades.

Retain - Storage (Common)

Category: Murk Fysa

Storage is a part of the Retain Aspect of the Murk Fysa.

This is a passive fysa. Users' threshold of being poisoned is heightened, and they can hold inordinate amounts of fysa in the body safely. All mucus membranes are stained iridescent black as a result.

Users can spend several days in the ocean before needing to take a break (though said break will need to be a few days to metabolize and break down the fysa unless they have Burnoff or Vent). They can eat most fysa contaminated foods without worry.

Retain - Poison Body (Uncommon)

Poison Body is a part of the Retain Aspect of the Murk Fysa.

This is a passive fysa. Users' flesh and blood causes fysa poisoning to those who try to eat them. Their saliva can cause euphoria, but it is not as dangerous.

Retain - Crystalize (Rare)

Category: Murk Fysa

Condensed is a part of the Retain Aspect of the Murk Fysa.

This is a passive fysa. Fysa crystalizes on the user's body, forming poisonous quills or spines. These spines can be grown on demand, even being shot out of the body like darts. Any who are struck with these quills are more susceptible to the user's influence, whether it wants to be intimidating or charming. They are able to understand any intention the user wishes to communicate to them, even if no audible or visible communication is given.

Excise - Burnoff (Common)

Category: Murk Fysa

Burnoff is a part of the Excise Aspect of the Murk Fysa.

This is a passive fysa. Fysa is spent by the body very rapidly. This raises the body's metabolism and core temperature. The user can glow, and often expels steam in their breath. The user is unable to be poisoned by Fysa, though they can still be poisoned by Aria.

Excise - Vent (Uncommon)

Category: Murk Fysa

Vent is a part of the Excise Aspect of the Murk Fysa.

This is a passive fysa. The user cannot be poisoned by real or magical substances. This includes venomous animals, toxic plants and animals, chemicals, aria, and fysa. When poisoned, they immediately breath the poison out as a gas and may use said gas in self defense.

Excise - Irradiate (Rare)

Category: Murk Fysa

Irradiate is a part of the Excise Aspect of the Murk Fysa.

This is an active fysa. The user gives off an aura of magic. It has the same strength as a fysa rain. Like a rain, it can power (and overload) machines and attracts feral daemons, but can't be sustained for more than an hour. The aura is visible and its color and appearance depends on the user. After a few minutes of use, the aura can complete envelop a room.
